The rise and rise of Redfern as a food and drink destination looks to be kicking up yet another gear in 2015. And local and new operators are evidently getting in on the action.

Redfern Continental, a new "European eatery" reportedly backed by David Jank and Brett Pritchard, the duo behind Redfern small bar, Arcadia Liquors, is on track to open Wednesday at 180 Redfern Street.

Also under assessment by planners at the City of Sydney is a DA for 267-271 Cleveland Street, Redfern. No name attached as to who'll operate it, but they're thinking big with plans for a 440-seat restaurant.
