Asian restaurant to open on Siana City site

Natascha Mirosch

The former Siana City site at the Riparian Plaza, which has been empty for two years, has a new tenant.

Siana's owners, Insyde Restaurant Group became insolvent after Brisbane's floods in 2012.

RawGROUP Management, which has a string of casual eateries Australia wide, such as the Beach House Bar and Grill outlets in the Chermside and Stafford City shopping centres, have signed the lease for the riverfront property.

RawGROUP's Adrian Rosato said the venue, a contemporary Asian restaurant, would be a complete change of direction for the company and the space would have a complete re-fit to maximise the outside space which has sweeping river views.

The group is interviewing for an executive chef and plans to open in April.
