The little country town of Batlow is gearing up for the annual apple cider festival again. There are 80 stalls, including 11 serving alcohol, and half a dozen cider companies.
And there will be plenty of food to help it go down - pigs on spit, speciality sausage, roasted chestnuts, ice cream, sour dough bread and honey. There's a cider industry conference on Friday, May 15, and then the cider fest on Saturday, May 16.
It all kicks off at 10am at Batlow, about 2.5 hours drive from Canberra along the road to Melbourne. Check out batlowciderfest.com.au.
