What do you get when you combine Melbourne's best croissants with spicy fried chicken? Guaranteed havoc.

This Sunday October 25 new Fitzroy local Lune Croissants and Gertrude Street's Belle's Hot Chicken are putting their heads together to bring Melburnians the ultimate $20 Franken-lunch. The first 100 customers can get their hands on a takeaway Kate Reid Lune croissant filled with two medium tenders, green tomato jam, mustard pickles, onion and foie grass - with a side of mac and cheese - available from 2pm. Get in line early to avoid disappointment.

"The guys at Lune Croissants have been our best friends since we opened," Belle's Hot Chicken co-owner Miranda Campbell said. "We're very like-minded individuals and we think this is going to be a lot of fun."

This chicken-filled event was planned specifically to coincide with Lune's new Fitzroy digs, which opens on Rose Street next week, on October 31.

Lune Croissant and Belle's Hot Chicken last collaborated on Australia Day, offering up sausages in Lune's buttery soft croissants.

Be warned, these marvellous, never-to-come-again savoury croissants are limited to one per customer. Clearly, they know us far too well.

The Belle Lune croissants will be available Sunday October 25 at Bar Clarine - 150 Gertrude Street, Fitzroy. From 2pm until sold out.
