Dust off your designer Greek sandals, Mosman residents, because a slice of Palm Beach casual glamour is about to blow in at Balmoral.

The Boathouse Palm Beach, a favourite with peninsula foodies and holidaying Hollywood types, is adding the waterfront Balmoral Boatshed cafe to its portfolio.

Boatshed owner Steven Hedge confirmed that when it reopens in a fortnight - following a quick makeover - the cafe will be run by the crew from the Boathouse Palm Beach.

''They will take over management of the full operation,'' Hedge says. ''I love what [Boathouse Palm Beach owner] Andrew Goldsmith has done up there - the emphasis on service, the quality of the food and the atmosphere he's created.''

The move is another tick for good, affordable waterside food in Sydney.
