With the lease on its Felix Street venue due to expire, Spring restaurant and cooking school will serve its last customers on February 27.

The events and wedding venue has outgrown its location and will move to a new space outside Brisbane's CBD.

Former chefs at the five-year-old restaurant include Queensland Good Food Guide Chef of the Year Josue Lopez, now executive chef at GOMA restaurant, and Kym Machin, owner of Bare Bones Society in Jindalee.

"At this stage we are not planning to run a restaurant but wish to expand our focus on hosting events and weddings. So we are looking for the perfect space to accommodate functions of all sizes," said owner Sarah Hancock.

The new location has not been announced.
