Will we start seeing Mamasita-style queues in South Yarra? Jason Jones, chef and co-owner of the city Mexican, has opened a new place on Bray Street, South Yarra. It's called B'stilla, after the Moroccan pie. Jones decided to focus on Moroccan food because "I've made so many tacos. I need variety in my life." He describes B'Stilla's menu as "affordable, with share plates, almost half vegetarian and sustainable". Jones carbon-offset the build of the interior of the new restaurant and will use local produce, beers and wines. The 96-seater (the same number of seats as Mamasita) is open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner and will take bookings for groups of eight to 20 only.
