Bungalow opens in Rosalie Village

Natascha Mirosch

Rosalie Village farewelled one and welcomed another eatery this week with Bungalow Bar and Restaurant (not to be confused with Bungalow 4171 in Hawthorne) moving into the spot vacated by Blu Grotto. Completely refitted and opened in just seven days, Bungalow's owner is Lee Reynolds, who also has The Grove in Ashgrove.

"It's the beta version at the moment. We are all about quality, so we're testing a few things out and seeing what works," he says. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the final menu will be in place within the next few weeks, Reynolds says, with premium steak such as a nine-plus marble-score wagyu featuring. There will also be a bar menu with share platters and a good cocktail list, he says.
