Buzo Trattoria will reopen next year in a site near the corner of Bridge and Clarence streets in the city as it prepares to close in Woollahra next month.

Co-owner James Hird said they hoped to sign off on the site in the next couple of weeks and open in March but had a back-up location near the QVB Building if the deal fell over.

Back in July, Short Black reported Buzo was moving to the city and chefs Mike Eggert and Jemma Whiteman had moved into the Buzo kitchen.

The duo will stay on after Buzo's November 2 closure, the restaurant reopening as Pinbone 10 days later. "We'll still own it," Hird says.
