Chefs Mark Best, Brett Graham and Daniel Puskas all have one on the mantelpiece. Now it's the turn of Sydney's ''Generation Next'' to make a run at the Josephine Pignolet Best Young Chef Award.

There are lots of reasons to enter, with a return overseas flight, a set of Shun knives and up to $20,000 toward overseas training in prizes.

Chefs under 30 can send a CV and an essay entitled ''My Philosophy on Food and Cooking" to PO Box 406, Woollahra NSW 1350.

Entries close April 27.
