Sydneysiders are about to get a taste of the Brod.

Brodburger owners Joelle Bou Jaoude and Sascha Brodbeck are hoping to get approval for a Sydney location for a BrodDogs caravan, serving gourmet hot dogs in a site about 15 minutes from the CBD.

If all goes to plan they'll be sending a replica of their little red caravan up the Hume Highway (the original will remain at The Hamlet, don't worry).

Bou Jaoude said they'd been looking to expand for about a year but it was difficult to find vacant land in Sydney.

"It's close enough to the city, it's big and can provide parking and a seating area," she said. T

he Sydney BrodDogs van will be run by her sister Josie and they plan to start out with just the hot dogs.

Brodburgers are coming later, but will most likely be in a restaurant or diner rather than a caravan. "You need the space and the staff - people in Sydney will not have time to wait."
