A clearer financial picture is starting to emerge following last week’s collapse of Cara & Co, the upmarket restaurant and concept store at Westfield Sydney that slid into voluntary administration.
With its restaurant closed already and the store set to follow, administrator Hugh Martin from Bernardi Martin says he’s still working through exactly how much is owed to the landlord, bank and owner Roza Alpert.
Martin says early calculations suggest trade creditors alone are in the red to the tune of a figure shy of $500,000.
