Got a lazy $5 million? The freehold on the chunk of CBD real estate that houses Japanese eatery Izakaya Den, Brioche by Philip cafe and Chiodo boutique is up for sale.

The basement of the Fender Katsalidis Hero apartment building, on the corner of Russell and Little Collins streets, is up for sale individually, or as a package that will set you back about $5 million, says Ed Wright from CBRE City Sales, which is managing the sale.

Simon Denton, who owns Izakaya Den with Miyuki Nakahara and Takashi Omi, says he is not looking to buy the freehold from current owners Peter Bartholomew and Phillip Maynes ''at this stage''.

The properties are for sale individually or in any combination by public expressions of interest, which close at 2pm on Friday, December 6.
