Entries are pouring in for the Good Food Month Shoot the Chef photography competition. Bin Duty (pictured), by amateur photographer Alison Crea, shows a chef wheeling bins down Croft Alley, an inner-city Melbourne laneway.

Crea says she does not know the identity of the chef. ''He could have worked at any one of the restaurants that have rear access to the laneway,'' she says. ''I like the anonymity of the image, as it adds mystery.''

Get snapping if you want to be in the running for one of two awards - critics' choice and people's choice - with the chance of winning $2500 cash. See goodfoodmonth.com/shootthechef.
