Northern beaches dining institution Clareville Kiosk is poised to change hands, but it won't change name.

"It has been called that for 33 years, why change it?" says Nathan Boler, who takes possession of the restaurant in early June.

Boler is unfazed he's inheriting a restaurant with a prized reputation, outgoing owner Peter Christensen having nabbed chefs hats in recent years.

Boler, who grew up on the Central Coast, managed the Michelin starred Drake's restaurant in Surry, England, where he met Rob Rietveld, the chef who will move to Sydney to run the Clareville Kiosk kitchen.

The draft menu looks promising, an entree of braised pig cheek with chard and gin mixing it up with a funky dessert of chocolate, pear, walnut and coriander.
