Travis Cutler, the wine guy at Thirst, is leaving his floor job to pursue his new dream of a career in the kitchen. Cutler is looking for work in a restaurant to lift his cooking skills and plans one day to open his own restaurant.

He grew up on a farm and already lives a pretty food-oriented life, experimenting with his own sausages and self-shot wild-rabbit terrine. Actually, in our ongoing effort to help Foxtel find an Australian version of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, we reckon Cutler could fit the bill. He’s got the hair for it at least.

Applications for the Aussie Hugh are being taken at lifestyle.com.au.
