Dedes flies into another fish site

Flying Fish owner Con Dedes looks to have snared the Walsh Bay site where The Wharf Restaurant @ Pier 2 closed after just a year (Short Black, June 18).

''We are in the final negotiation stage,'' Dedes Group chief operating officer Lisa Hobbs says.

''We are due to open at the end of July.''

Dedes will add this venue to his large portfolio, which also includes Flying Fish's offshoot at the Star.
