Popular dumpling house Din Tai Fung is to open in yet another location, this time at Chippendale's Carlton and United brewery redevelopment.

Dim sum fans will be able to get their fix among the vertical gardens and shoe stores of the urban renewal project from early May. The restaurant will seat 120.

It will be the second Din Tai Fung to open within a month. The Westfield Chatswood outpost opened yesterday.

Din Tai Fung opened in 1974 has a small shop in Taiwan and now has outlets in 10 countries. It is lauded for xiao long bao – the broth filled dumplings recently ranked number one in Good Food's list of Sydney's best. They are also the one dish celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain claimed he would travel halfway round the world for again.
