Diner en Blanc goes to Bondi

As Sydney digests beer flavoured gelato this Australia Day, plans are under way to turn the city's most famous beach into an alfresco dining spot.

Antoine Bessis, the event director behind Diner en Blanc Sydney, is plotting a new series of events, the first of which will kick off on Bondi Beach on Saturday, March 12. The all-white Wimbledon-style attire of Diner en Blanc will be ditched for a "pastel beach chic" Riviera dress code. Former Merivale chef Lauren Murdoch will create the menu for the $220-per-person event.

A Moveable Feast has more action planned later in the year, says a spokeswoman, confirming plans are already under way for winter and Halloween dinners.
