Our diaries are getting pretty full, here at the Good Food Month coalface. What with the Growers' Market 15th birthday bash and the influx of hot young international chefs for the Omnivore masterclasses and dinners on the opening weekend of October, followed by the Night Noodle Markets (October 9-26) and Rene Redzepi heading to town ... It's going to be quite a month.

● With more than 500 listings, the program is bursting with other stuff too. Here are a few more ways to share the Good Food Month table.

● Let's Do Lunch We haven't picked our destination this year (last year's was The Bridge Room) but there's always a team outing to one of the hatted Good Food Guide restaurants offering a great lunch dish. Ormeggio at the Spit is looking good - charcoal beef spare ribs, pickled turnip, black garlic with a mixed salad. So is roast fish with shellfish butter at Arras.

● Supper Club at Gastro Park, Ananas, Sake, the Woods ... love the idea of late-night snacks. And drinks. I'm there.

● Art & Wine In other drinks news, Blind Tastings is a theatre piece around wine. With wine tastings first. (October 17, Sydney; October 18, Canberra).

● 10th Anniversary of Aki's (October 31), A Vineyard to Plate dinner at Yellow (October 14, again!) Or the NSW Wine Awards trophy winners tastings (also October 31) ... Drink & Dine events are always fun. And a little bit educational, too.

● Speaking of educational, chef and now farmer Martin Boetz is leading a panel on food security with the Botanic Gardens Foundation (It's All About Food, October 12). And Indira Naidoo reveals all - even her very own Edible Balcony - at an Urban Food Safari progressive dinner and urban garden tour (also October 12).

● Instant Expert Jammin' and Jammin' at Kitchen by Mike. Music and lessons in pickling and jam-making. Too cool. (October 2). Or serious dessert-making with Gena Karpf from Sweetness the Patisserie (October 13). Or macaron-making with MakMak and, believe it or not, Rekordelig cider (various dates). See how the Good Food team puts together a food shoot, with breakfast, at The Cook, The Stylist, The Photographers and The Breakfast (October 19).

● Best from the West - Western Sydney goes on show at this outdoor festival, featuring foraging with Diego Bonetto and demonstrations with chef Jared Ingersoll (October 27). Other Community Festivals include the Culinary Carnivale (Spanish and Latin American fare) at Fairfield (October 19) and the new Jewish Food Culture Fest at Shalom College, UNSW (October 20).

● If you're heading out of town, there are Regional Table events across the state, including a long lunch in Bowral (October 20), Paddock to Plate at Cupitt's Winery in Ulladulla (October 12), a 100 Mile Table Northern NSW Dinner in Belongil Beach (October 25) and a fabulous focus on Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury produce at a number of Crossing The Blue Mountains With Food events, including a seven-course degustation at hatted Restaurant Como in Blaxland (Friday, Saturday).

● And yes, I'll be joining Ardyn Bernoth at the annual Editors' Dinner at The Bridge Room, October 9, for Herald subscribers, with this year's Good Food Guide Chef of the Year, Ross Lusted. Not much room left in the diary but who's complaining?
