Gerry Harvey, John Singleton and Mark Carnegie's $80 million acquisition of the Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park may finally bear fruit for foodies.

While talk of a hotel persists, a number of high-profile operators have toyed with going into the precinct, which has claimed several food scalps over the years.

Recipe scribe Donna Hay is among those believed to have fallen for EQ's pitch. Management is tight-lipped, but a site under construction is believed to be readying itself for Hay, and will include food, homewares and possibly gelato. EQ's food markets are also in the midst of a reboot.
