Drink for a good cause

Three internationally renowned bartenders will shake and stir their discounted signature drinks at Eau de Vie, the award-winning city cocktail bar, on Thursday night. And it's for a good cause - fund-raising for Victorian bushfire victims.

In keeping with the atmosphere of the place, where nothing is done by halves, co-owner Greg Sanderson has organised to host three barkeeps from London and New York to produce two cocktails for one hour each, from 6-9pm.

They are Nathan Merriman, a Melburnian who is the head bartender of the Club at the Ivy in London; Steve Schneider, a principal bartender at Employees Only in New York; and Roman Foltan from Artesian Bar in the Langham Hotel in London. All money from the drinks they create, tips and donations will go to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
