Annual art and music festival Sugar Mountain has increased its food offering this year, with a dude food fest to make any beardy hipster salivate. The festival, which started in 2011 and was held annually until it took a hiatus last year, is returning with a posse of food purveyors to complement the music.

Collingwood's Rockwell and Sons will serve its buttermilk-fried chicken and pulled pork sandwich in a custom-built service area, the Beaufort is creating a stall that replicates its Carlton dive bar interior, and Beatbox Kitchen's Raph Rashid is opening RB's (Raph's Burgers) in a purpose-built mobile commercial kitchen, serving bagels, pastrami sandwiches and cheeseburgers – beef, cheese, mustard and onions on a steamed potato bun, specially created for this event.

Fitzroy's Hammer and Tong will roll out its new second food truck, serving soft-shell crab burgers, bang bang chicken, and prawn burgers.
