It's little wonder that Europe is in trouble. Rather than fighting the debt crisis, the EU's regulators have turned their attention to the restaurant table.

From 2014, restaurants and cafes will not be able to serve olive oil in small glass jugs or dipping bowls. The hygiene police want pre-sealed, non-refillable bottles used instead.
