The boys from Collingwood's Cavallero have started rolling their Fancy Hank's southern-style barbecue into Princes Park Bowling Club and dispensing smoky, tender Angus beef brisket, beef and pork ribs, barbecued chicken and sandwiches. Salads such as zucchini, goat's cheese and farro, potato and coleslaw add crunch, plus there are frozen margaritas and vodka with watermelon, mint and chilli from the Margaritaville bar. Kent Bell suggests bringing a picnic rug and flat-soled shoes for bowling ($15 for three hours). At 104 Bowen Crescent, Carlton North, Thursday to Saturday, 6-9pm; Saturday and Sunday, noon-3pm.
