Has our food obsession gone too far? It's a common question in a world of ''celebrity chefs'', and will be one of the series of Intelligence Squared debates at the Wheeler Centre.

In what's sure to be a robust discussion on March 6, speakers for the proposition include the director of SecondBite, Katy Barfield; food writer and Tasmanian small-holder Matthew Evans; and writer, comedian and Celebrity MasterChef participant Wendy Harmer.

Speakers against the motion include British food writer Fuchsia Dunlop; Epicure contributor Richard Cornish; and the executive chef and co-owner of the Lake House restaurant in Daylesford, Alla Wolf-Tasker. Tickets are $20/$12 concession, for bookings go to wheelercentre.com
