Flock Dining opens in Newport

Melbourne's west got a new restaurant last weekend with the opening of Flock Dining in Newport. Owned and operated by Peter Sheppard and Nicole Dixon, the pair have completely renovated former medical rooms at 39 Challis Street to create a restaurant with seating for up to 24 inside and the same number outside. Chef Robin Clough, who worked for Marco Pierre White in the early noughties at London's Harvey's and Canteen, followed by a couple of years at Quay in Sydney, has created a menu that's "modern French with Mediterranean influences". Flock is open for breakfast and lunch and will open for dinner by March 20.
