Foley Lane tapas bar at Taylor Square closed on the weekend, its owners will reboot it as an Italian restaurant, Casoni, later this month.

Lachlan Robinson, a chef with Pendolino and Melbourne's Mister Bianco on his CV, has stepped in as a partner in the venture.

He will create a new pasta daily at Casoni.

Co-owner Julian Marchetto says they are on the hunt for a city venue to relaunch the tapas concept, but won't keep the Foley Lane moniker.
