Gerroa gem The Blue Swimmer at Seahaven has sold, snapped up by a family with some impressive restaurant lineage.

Paul Dewhurst, the former general manager of the restaurant group behind Quay and Otto Ristorante, confirmed he and his family had bought the restaurant and they will run it, although Dewhurst will remain in his current job as group operations manager at Three Blue Ducks.

Seasoned south coast operators Cortney Cantwell and Caroline Read, who put The Blue Swimmer on the culinary map, depart at the end of the month. Cantwell confirmed they plan to open another venue on the south coast after an extended break.
