Scoop Wholefoods (North Shore), Anita Gelato (in Broadway) and a fresh signing from New York City will be part of the food offering at Pacific Bondi Beach development, on Campbell Parade.

Developer Eduard Litver confirmed the signings, which include Saturdays Surf NYC, which started out as a surfwear retailer in NYC's SoHo before branching out into cutting-edge lifestyle stores in Japan. It will be the company's first foray into Australia, with a cafe part of the shop design.

Litver says the first stage of the development – which includes a QT-run hotel and Woolworths store similar to its Woolloomooloo prototype – will roll out before Christmas.

Litver refused to comment on yet-to-be-completed deals, with a major small bar operator primed to join the development. A DA has also been lodged for a corner site that wil blend food and hotel.

Architect Patrick Nicholas, from AN+A, describes its interior as inspired in part by Bondi's Miami-style art deco buildings. "While we have taken cues from other dining venues from the great coastal promenades of the world, the DNA of the offering is distinctly local, sophisticated and affordable," Nicholas says.
