Whose are the best ribs? That'll be the question on everyone's lips when Dandelion restaurant owner-chef Geoff Lindsay challenges Melbourne Pub Group chef and director Paul Wilson to a ''BBQ Throwdown'' at the Middle Park Hotel on Sunday. Lindsay won the Lucky Beer Dish of the Year in The Age Good Food Guide 2012 for his barbecue spare ribs, while Wilson says he learnt lots of ''hot tips'' working alongside the US's barbecue ''pitmaster'' Ed Mitchell at last year's Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. "Geoff can expect a whooping!" Wilson says. The winner will be decided by the guests at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Meatopia event, who will have the chance to taste and vote.
