Glenmore publicans set sights on Leichhardt

The brother and sister of high-profile publican Fraser Short are quietly building their own empire and Leichhardt is the latest area in their sights.

Martin Short and Paris Ballantyne have added the Royal Hotel, on Norton Street, to a portfolio that includes The Australian and The Glenmore at The Rocks. Changes to the Royal's downstairs bar menu will be introduced in coming weeks, with a full relaunch of the bistro by early September.

Word is the duo hasn't put away the chequebook, with big plans for the group.
