Straying from its namesake palinka spirits (pure fruit brandies), Budapest Restaurant and Palinka Bar is pouring wine at a special goulash Sunday lunch.

The leisurely three-course lunch will be matched with seven Australian wines ($65), and is sure to result in rosy cheeks. The hearty Eastern European fare includes cold meats, pickles, salads and cevapcici skinless sausages, ending with a bowl of the hearty Hungarian sweet paprika-spiked beef stew.

Should you have room, optional desserts of apple or cherry strudel will be available.

1pm-4pm, Sunday, July 20, Budapest Restaurant and Palinka Bar, 273 Glen Huntly Road, Elsternwick, tickets available here
