When a customer at a city restaurant barked at a waiter to ''get me my f---ing bill'', the maitre d' went to the table and asked the customer to please keep his mouth in check.

But the maitre d' had to quickly backtrack when the customer pointed out that the chef - who has since relocated - had delivered repeated foul-mouthed serves to his kitchen staff within earshot of customers.
