Orange institution Union Bank Wine Bar is shaping up for a big 2014, with fresh team of heavy-hitters taking up residence.

The venue has new owners in Swinging Bridge winemaker Tom Ward and Nick Bacon from Vines to Venues.

In more good news for the central west stalwart, it has snared as its new marketing manager, Orange’s newest resident Lindy Thompson, the former publicist at Sydney restaurants Longrain and Sake.

Thompson says there’ll be a series of upgrades to the wine list and menu, which is overseen by chef Jason Hopwood.

The venue also has a small tweak of its name last week to Union Bank Wine Bar & Dining.
