Henrietta's Chicken Shop pops up at Queenscliff pub

Former Albert Street Food & Wine restaurant managers Ruth Giffney and Stuart Brookshaw are opening their first business venture together. At Henrietta's Chicken Shop, a summer pop-up upstairs at Queenscliff's Esplanade Hotel, they'll have rotisseries rolling on the balcony from Tuesday to Sunday from December 19 until the end of the school holidays, when they'll switch to weekends-only until Easter.

The menu will include rolls stuffed with spice-rubbed organic chicken or salt and pepper calamari, crinkle-cut chips, salads, wraps and sides, as well as their take on the dixie cup. The pair hope to open Henrietta's in Melbourne next year, possibly nesting permanently in Richmond.

Their summer pop-up is at 2 Gellibrand Street, Queenscliff.
