Blogger and self-described ''food warrior'' Rohan Anderson has established a community food shop named after his book and blog Whole Larder Love. City folk can order a case of local, seasonal, organic vegetables and fruit for $48, and organic eggs for $10 a dozen via an order form on his blog.

The central highlands-based Anderson sources the bounty from a friend, Rob May, who grows fruit and veg for restaurants in Daylesford but has enough left over to sell to Melburnians. ''I've been asked for a couple of years to set up something like this,'' Anderson says.

The produce is picked the day before it's delivered; expect a bit of dirt and some nubbly shapes, as nature intended. The box includes what's in season. It's not a home-delivery service - Anderson has designated pick-ups around the city. See wholelarderlove.com/shop
