Melbourne's favourite hamburger is coming to Sydney, albeit for one night only.

This Sunday, Huxtaburger's chef Dan Wilson will be flippin' wagyu patties from 5pm at Woollahra's Pinbone. Best get there early too, because if Victoria's "Huxtaxcult" has any factions up north we could well see another queue of In-N-Out Burger pop-up proportions.

Huxtaburger opened in 2011 as an offshoot to Collingwood's one hatted Huxtable. Melbourne punters line-up not only for a classic Huxtaburger of beef, tomato, cheese, mustard and homemade pickles, but also the "Theo" (big-noting itself with double meat and cheese) and "Denise" (the hot one) with jalapeno and sriracha mayo.

More Huxtaburgers are sold over three stores in Melbourne each day than there are colours on a Cosby sweater, but Sunday will see only 300, which you can either take away or eat-in and party on.

Daniel Wilson, who won The Age Good Food Guide Young Chef of the Year back in 2003, is in town to promote Huxtabook: Recipes from Sea, Land and Earth by way of a six-course dinner of classic Huxtable dishes on Monday, also at Pinbone.
