Ignore the buzz around Honeycomb

Rumours of the closure of Darlinghurst restaurant Honeycomb have been greatly exaggerated, co-owner Paul Frost says.

Honeycomb reopens today after a quick facelift, but the restaurant has been troubled in recent times, with a succession of chefs leaving. Alfie Spina recently followed the talented Andy Bunn out the door as head chef. Frost described Spina's food as ''really beautiful and sophisticated'' but said the restaurant would reopen with a lower-priced menu.

''Darlinghurst needs more-accessible food,'' Frost says.

He doesn't want a name chef at Honeycomb, so much so that he declines even to name who will run the kitchen.
