Enmore Road keeps going from dining strength-to-strength, with a hot new Vietnamese eatery joining the barbecue, pizza, cheese and seafood taking over the inner-west strip.

Chao Ba is a hospitality venture for online fashion entrepreneur Virginie Maikim. The Enmore restaurant is set to open December 3, less than a month after Maikim launched the first Chao Bar at The Concourse, Chatswood on November 6.

Both restaurants serve the fresh and vibrant Vietnamese food Sydney loves, but with a few tweaks. Traditional menu favourites like pho, for example, sit alongside tapas and share plates. There's also a strong focus on service. "The Vietnamese culture is warm, generous and welcoming," says Maikim.

On the menu is banh khot – crispy coconut and turmeric mini pancakes with prawns and homemade nuoc mam on the side ($9.80); goi ga bap chuoi bao – chicken and banana blossom salad with mint and lime dressing ($17.50); and suon rang me: sticky chilli and tamarind pork spare-ribs ($15.80).

Maikim's fashion background is evident in the interiors featuring concrete floors, rustic timber, vertical gardens and traditional silk lanterns.
