Just Open: Entrecote City steakhouse, Melbourne CBD

Since opening in January this year, Entrecote steakhouse in South Yarra has hit the grill running. A second steakhouse and cafe, Entrecote City, opens on Wednesday (in the space that was Prix Fixe) with all the markings of the South Yarra original.

Breakfasts of croissants, baguettes and omelettes are there, alongside lunch and dinner dishes of onion soup, sirloin steak (the entrecote cut) with herb-butter sauce, salad and fries.

Entrecote City will also feature a crustacean bar for seafood platters, and a raw bar for smaller seafood dishes such as seasonal fish carpaccio with peas and lemon.

Lush green velvet cushions cover the banquettes, and hanging plants and ferns further green the updated room.

The cafe includes a takeaway window for coffee ($2.50) and breakfasts to go.

Entrecote City is open Monday to Saturday from 7am for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
