Plush pink walls and lavish red velvet sets the scene for Entrecote, the Parisian-accented steakhouse from Jason M. Jones, who's made his name with cafes Friends of Mine in Richmond and South Yarra's The Stables of Como, as well as CBD dining room Prix Fixe and Moor Please in Hepburn Springs.

Opening at 133 Domain Road, the site that has housed Lynch's, The Millswyn and Louie in rapid succession, Entrecote is modelled on the restaurant L'Entrecote in Paris, serving steak frites – a set menu of sirloin steak (known as the entrecote cut), fries and a simple green salad, for $39.90.

Jones has teamed up with Hopkins River Beef producer Adam North, focusing on what they know – providing good beef in a lush dining environment.
