Brunswick Street just got that little bit louder. With plush bar stools, private booths, a sizeable dance floor and 5am weekend licence, suitably dimmed Glamorama is all about good times, top-notch booze and thumping electronica.

Cocktails ($18-$21) are as cleverly balanced as they are titled. Try the Lady Marmalade starring fennel-infused marmalade vodka, or A Life Less Ordinary, combining Zubrowka vodka, lime juice, apple and celery shrub and Mandarine Napoleon liqueur.

Whiskies are a strong suit, from the established – Sullivan's Cove – to smaller Victorian and Tasmanian distillers.

In the kitchen, chef Shaun Hansen (ex Sweetwater Inn, South Yarra) conjures kooky takes on Aussie classics, including a hanger steak sandwich, "Phat" sausage rolls with sauce-filled syringes, and lamington fried ice-cream.

Open Wed-Thu & Sun 5pm-3am; Fri-Sat 5pm-5am.
