Just open: Greenheart Espresso

Fiona Bloomer and chef Andrea Vagge disappeared off the food radar a couple of years ago after selling Bronte’s excellent LaLocanda. But the duo is refreshed and back in the game, swinging open the doors yesterday at Greenheart Espresso, 432 Kent Street, in the CBD.

As you’d guess from the name, it’s more of a cafe than a La Locanda-style neighbourhood restaurant. They also appear to have shaken their strict Italian devotion, a salad of soba noodles, chicken and lemongrass appears on Greenheart’s openingmenu.

The cafe has some nice accoutrements, from Little Marionette coffee to a clever room by Matt Woods, the designer with Bloodwood in his portfolio.
