The latest addition to George Calombaris' expanding Greek fast-food empire opens this Sunday in Richmond.

Souvlaki filled with crisp duck, apple, tzatziki, chips and parsley is on the menu at the fourth branch of the celebrity chef's souva chain, Jimmy Grants, during the first month.

The Richmond restaurant will also be sending out chocolate baklava soft-serve with salted caramel.

Permanent additions to the menu include roasted beetroot salad and the GFS, a gluten-free chicken souvlaki with tahini yoghurt and coleslaw.

With its exposed blond bricks, brass fittings, homely arches and picture frames, the nostalgic interior evokes a typical 1950s suburban home.

Richmond is emerging as a new fast-food hub. Jimmy Grants joins Gelato Messina's second Victorian store, and Fitzroy diner Belle's Hot Chicken plans to open in the suburb later this year.

Jimmy Grants is also expanding, with a table-service restaurant, Jimmy Grants Deluxe, set to open at a new food precinct at Eastland shopping centre later this year. Outlets are also planned for Ascot Vale and Glen Waverley in 2016.
