There's just enough room for an espresso machine, a pile of Cobb Lane pastries and a four-slice toaster in this St George's Road broom cupboard – so pastries, Allpress coffee and toast is co-owner Zoran Pajic and Lauren Komel's offer.

But it's not just Vegemite and house-made peanut butter. Inspired by family histories and their own food adventures, the pair have come up with tasty combos such as orange and red onion marmalade with d'Affinois triple cream cheese ($10); a pizza-like prosciutto, tomato and mozzarella on potato sourdough ($12); and dulce de leche, mascarpone and Himalayan salt ($6).

Open Mon–Tue 7.30am–2pm; Wed–Fri 7.30am–3.30pm; Sat–Sun 8am–3pm.
