The name scream puns, but they're drowned out by an overriding theme: "fine diving". That's when you meld the experiences of high-end dining and a dive bar, ensuring that two wrongs – or, at least, two opposites – make a right.
The brainchild of twentysomething entrepreneurs Zachary Riggs and Isaac Constantine (Drugstore Espresso, Le Petit Prince), Two Wrongs is both elegant and awkward.
Its richly coloured, ghetto-glam decor – a "mash-up of Milan, gritty pretty New York and the selective attitude of Melbourne" – contrasts some superbly executed grub (pork doughnut; beef and broccoli with beer and nettle) with a knowing list of craft beers and wines.
Cocktails ($15-$18) are a speciality; the warmer weather demands a tall South Ra Ra: cucumber gin, St Germain Elderflower liqueur, mint, lime juice and soda.
Open Wed-Sun 5pm-1am.
