The second Sydney Zeus store has opened in Rosebery, 16 months after the Drummoyne fast-casual original started selling hunks of lamb and pork wrapped in a pita with chips. It's one of the first venues to open in a new emporium on Morley Avenue, close to Black Star Pastry , Archie Rose Distilling Co. and Da Mario .
The menu is identical to the Drummoyne store and features house-made pitas filled with pork, chicken, soft-shell crab, haloumi or slow-cooked lamb; salads, dip platters, spanakopita, calamari, feta and oregano chips, and loukoumades with honey, cinnamon and walnuts. Supplied The Rosebery store also offers home delivery to surrounding suburbs.
"It's been a really exciting year for Zeus, expanding the brand across NSW as well as interstate and it's clear there's a demand for fast, fresh Greek street food," said Zeus co-founder Costa Anastasiadis. Supplied Zeus opened a Brisbane outpost in June and future NSW stores are planned for Cronulla, Dulwich Hill and the Newcastle suburb of Kotara. Good Food has heard the Dulwich Hill Zeus will be located close to Foodcraft Espresso's Nutella dessert bar should you want to design your own souvlaki and freakshake combo meal.
