Prahran pizza haven, Ladro Greville, is rebranding and changing its name to Ladro Tap. The plan is to expand the drinks offerings and reduce the price of meals, with most under $20.

Co-owner Ingrid Langtry says the pizzas will stay on the menu, with the popular Badabing topped with pork sausage, chilli and oregano being "a perfect beer pizza". There will be dishes she describes as "beer-centric with an Italian edge" including pastas, soups and an Italian version of Welsh rarebit.

A dozen beer taps have been built into the venue that will highlight local brewers including Collingwood's Sample and Thunder Road in Brunswick, plus more tap wines will be available.

The room will be given a minor refurbishment, half of the dining tables will be replaced with bar tables and lounges, and the size of the bar will be increased.

Fitzroy sibling Ladro Gertrude will stay the same. "We would love to install taps there too but are very space restricted at this stage," Langtry says.

Ladro Tap, 162 Greville Street, Prahran, will open in mid-July.
