Lady Lamington closes

Mystery surrounds the closure last week of popular rooftop bar and restaurant Lady Lamington.

The owner of the Fortitude Valley eatery Jaye Ellam was unable to be contacted, but a post on Lady Lamington's website said the eatery was ‘‘undergoing a complete renovation and rectification works due to water inundation.

‘‘This damage has caused potential health risks. Stay tuned for re-opening updates via Facebook.”

That news was closely followed by this post: "Lady Lamington has now closed its doors. We'd like to thank our lovely customers for their support and wish everyone a safe and happy 2013.”

Lady Lamington opened last year.
